There were 543,039 accident reports filed with INAIL in the first 11 months of 2024, up from the same period in 2023. The number of reports of fatal accidents at work, on an annual level, still exceeds 1,000 cases: one every 8 hours. Among the sectors with the most accidents occurring at work, Construction (34,414 cases, +0.5% on 2023), Transport and storage (31,958 cases, +0.7%), Hire and business support services (19,935, +3.2%) and Manufacture of metal products (14,444 cases, -7.0%) stand out for increases.
In Italy, reports of fatal workplace accidents still exceed 1,000 cases annually: 3 a day one every 8 hours.

Tax relief and reductions to companies that have carried out interventions to improve technologies and conditions of safety and hygiene in the workplace, in addition to those prescribed by regulations.
