Performance Level (PL) calculation is an essential part of the design and verification process for machine control systems according to the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. Accurate analysis and correct implementation of the PL guarantees not only operator safety, but also regulatory compliance and legal protection for manufacturers.
ICOY systems were awarded the highest PLe rating – high contribution to risk reduction – for both ICOY Guardian and ICOY MOVER Forfklift, while ICOY Mover Crane was awarded Italian Patent No. 102020000016051, meaning that they are highly reliable systems with a high capacity to prevent or mitigate risks associated with machine operation.
