FARETE – AI and Industrial Robotics: does the need for efficiency slow down product and process innovation?

On Thursday, September 5, Cesare Valenti, Executive Chairman of Itway Group, will participate in FARETE in a panel discussion entitled “AI and Industrial Robotics: does the need for efficiency slow down product and process innovation?”.

FARETE is the two-day networking event, promoted and organized by Confindustria Emilia, dedicated to companies, which can forge or strengthen relationships and develop national and international business opportunities. A great showcase of the production, processing, subcontracting and services that the Emilia production system, and not only, offers in all sectors.

Starting in 2019, the Itway Group has developed the Cyber Safety Business Unit and launched the ICOY® line of solutions, based on Artificial Intelligence, for the EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) market.

The EHS market integrates safety management, occupational health, and environmental protection, with the goal of reducing risks, preventing accidents, and promoting sustainable business practices.

ICOY® represents a set of innovative systems designed to safeguard lives and reduce the risk of workplace accidents through cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence technology developed by the Itway Group. This technology uses an object detection algorithm, based on a single convolutional neural network, capable of recognizing people.

The ICOY AI™ system is constantly evolving through the use of Deep Learning, which allows it to automatically define a set of useful features to classify the content of an image and continue with self-learning. This allows the analysis to continuously improve as the number of images analyzed increases, without being affected by object motion.

Workplace safety finds digital and Artificial Intelligence a powerful ally in preventing accidents and protecting people.

During the panel discussion, Cesare Valenti will dialogue with Gianluca Palli, Full Professor and Coordinator of the Mechatronics degree program at the University of Bologna, and Marco Muraccini, R&D Project Manager at Unitec Spa. The discussion will be moderated by Elisabetta Bracci, Manager of Clust-ER Innovate, and Federico Capucci, Manager of Clust-ER Mech.
